- On the menubar, go to File, point
to New, and click on Web*.
- A dialog box will pop up with the Web
Sites list. Select a template or
wizard. If you want to start a web site
from scratch, select "One Page
Web." (You will then need to add
new pages and drag them into navigation
view to create your web structure.)
- On the right side of the box, in Specify
the location of the new web, type or
select a name for the new web. You will
need the full pathname. Your webs will
usually be created in your "My
Webs" folder so you probably won't
have to worry about it.
- If your web uses a theme and you want to
disable it, go to Format and
click on Theme (or right-click
and select Theme). In the Theme
dialog box, select No Theme. In
the top left corner, make sure that you
have All Pages selected.
- If your web uses shared borders and you
want to disable them, go to Format
and click on Borders. Click on
the border icons to deselect the borders
you want to get rid of. Make sure that
you have All Pages selected.

FAQ |
*What's
the difference between a web
template and a page template?
A
page template allows you to
create a new page that already
has a basic layout structure.
When you use page templates, you
usually only need to type or
paste your content and
occasionally adjust navigation
bar properties.
A
web template creates an entire
web structure. It will usually
have several pages that are
already saved, named, and
dragged into Navigation view.
You will need to paste your
content into the pages, possibly
add new pages (using a page
template), and adjust the
navigational structure as
needed. |
