My page looks
funny. What's wrong?
First,
click on the Preview tab on the
bottom or go to File |
Preview in Browser. Chances
are that your page just looks
funny in Normal View. If you see
small gaps in between images in
Normal View, don't worry! If the
page template uses tables to lay
out the images, Normal View
pushes the pictures around
slightly to make room for the
table guidelines. They will
disappear and fit nicely when
you look at the page with a
browser.
I don't have
any buttons or banners on my
page.
Some of the navigation bars
aren't showing up.
You
may see something like [Add
this page to the Navigation View
to display hyperlinks here]
or [Change the properties of
this Navigation bar...]. In
the first case, you will need to
add your page to navigation
view. Click on Navigation
in the left Views column, then
drag your page from the Folder
List column into the navigation
structure.
In
the second case, right-click on
the [Change the
properties...] text and
select Navigation Bar
Properties. Look at what
kind of navigation has been
selected. It's possible that
there are no pages for that kind
of navigation -- for example, if
you have "Child Pages"
selected, but the page has no
child pages, then the navigation
bar will not display. (Read more
about the Navigation
Bar.)
Save
your changes and go to File |
Preview in Browser to make
sure everything worked.
The buttons
and banners show up as text,
not as graphics.
The
theme is probably not applied.
Go to Format | Theme and
you will probably find that
"No Theme" is
selected. Select your theme and
this should fix the problem.
You
may also want to check the Navigation
Bar Properties (right-click
on the Navigation bar) and make
sure that "Buttons" is
selected under "Orientation
and Appearance."
